[HOTEL REVIEW] Resinda Hotel Karawang managed by Padma Hotels

Last weekend from 4th - 5th Feb 2017, I had a lovely staycation at Resinda Hotel Karawang. It was something I long awaited since the time my friend, Yennymakanmulu asked me to join in. My work had been so hectic at the office lately since one of my dept staff had resign, so having this staycation was like an oase for the tiresome feeling I get from overtime work.

So off we go that Saturday morning to Karawang. Not exactly an area I come to visit often, but I was glad that even though it is a business and industry area, it was also calm and less hectic than the capital city.
Resinda Hotel Karawang is managed by Padma Hotels, which has successfully managed other hotel and resorts in Bandung and Bali. This majestic hotel is currently rated 4-star, although in my opinion it is more worthy to bear a 5-star rating.
Being situated in an industry area, this hotel cater mostly businessman, though travelers can also find themselves comfortable in the nurturing hotel's service and just get out of the hectic city to a calmer resident and relax themselves.
More great thing about this hotel is that it will be interconnecting with the-opening-soon Resinda Park Mall. Yup, the mall will open this March so more hype is coming soon to this fine hotel.

The lobby is super spacious! That's my impression as I entered the premises. It was so spacious, I think one can have a wedding banquet in the lobby, LOL. The design was super chic, elegant and yet minimalist at the same time. The lobby area isn't filled with too many furnishings, ornaments, or decorations. They kept it simple but yet it was an eye-candy.
Resinda Hotel Karawang has 22 floors and 256 smart rooms, being categorized as: Deluxe,
Signature Deluxe, Grand Deluxe, Premier Suite, and Executive Suite. And for this staycation I got to stay in the Premier Suite (yeay!!!) located in the 22nd floor, so I got an awesome room that had an awesome view too!

The bedroom was so nice, I am surely loving the super comfy King size bed with the clean bed sheets. A smart way to apply mirror on the wardrobe and cabinet, giving an optical illusion as if the room was more larger than it had already been. Probably I would prefer more electric sockets near the bed, since I could only find one available without any appliances plugged into it. The 40 inch IPTV was a bundle of joy as it was also equipped with cable TV and hotel information.

Next to the bedroom was the separated living room with table and sofa, and another 40 inch IPTV! So I got 2 TVs in one room, awesome! Other amenities were dining tables, electric kettle, and a refrigerator. But what catched my attention more was the presence of Dulce Gusto Circolo. This espresso machine surely brought joy since I can enjoy my espresso while sitting at the sofa and watching my favorite TV channel.

The bathroom was also so spacious, consisting of toilet, and separated shower room and bathtub. It's not a shower/bathtub combination, so I find the separate shower and bathtub to be more pleasing for me. The other great thing was the hot and cold water runs perfectly without a glitch, so I enjoyed maybe like 5 times of soaking myself in the huge tub with warm water cleansing my body. Toiletries were complete as a 5-star hotel would give, and surprisingly I found a digital weight scale available in the bathroom. That's something you don't see everyday in a 4-star hotel room.

Other facilities I came upon at this hotel were the Japanese bath and of course a gym. The Japanese bath itself was quite unique since it was my first time having found a hotel in Indonesia that provides this facility.  As any Onsen in Japan, this one also has a hot and cold pool to bath. Unfortunately, I didn't get to try this facility, but my friend did and he seemed to liked it. I took the time in the afternoon to chill at the hotel's vast swimming pool.

The swimming pool also provides kids pool so the little ones can enjoy swimming and splashing water. And the pool side area was quite large to cater a lot of people too.

Me and my friends certainly had so much fun and chats at the pool side area, accompanied with refreshing drinks that can be ordered from the restaurant. It's a bit windy out there that time but it didn't stop us from laughing with joy.

Of course I had a lot of delicious food during this staycation, but I will not post it here but in another post, so stay tune cause I can tell you that it will surely make you drool.

Overall conclusion, I had a splendid time at this wonderful majestic hotel. Resinda Hotel Karawang certainly provides everything to make my staycation comfortable and also memorable. This is one hotel I would recommend for weekend getaway from the hectic Jakarta since it is calmer and more soother. Thank you, Resinda Hotel Karawang for the great weekend well spent. Mucca, Citywalk Sudirman

Hi Eaters.

Last Saturday I got the chance to visit and try this steak restaurant, named Mucca. It is one group with the infamous Gandy Steak. Have you ever heard of Gandy? Well, surely as one of the oldest steak houses in Jakarta, Gandy has put some benchmarks for others to follow.
Mucca itself, being one of the sister company of Gandy, has a different concept.

Located in the first floor of Citywalk, the restaurant may look not so big from the outside, but believe me it's so spacious indeed inside. Besides the regular dining area, there is a smoking area and a private area (you can see the last pic above).
The restaurant's interior is quite nice, with what I think is a nice touch with unfurnished brick walls, wooden tables and chairs, and some cushions with matching colors with the tables. The elements in the restaurant doesn't apply too many colors so it felt quite soothing, accompanied with the dimmed lights and nice tunes.

As I open the menu book, I soon discovered what makes Mucca a lot different than Gandy. One thing, and it is the most important thing, was the prices. It's much more affordable compared to Gandy. The other great thing was that Mucca only uses imported meat. So don't hope to find local meat here. It's great, right? Imported meat with a low price tag!

Aus Prime Steer Sirloin (220gr) - IDR 105K

Sirloin is the part of the beef that still has that juicy fat. For my personal preference, I opted for this one. I simply like things with fat, LOL. Using imported Australian beef, it just WOW me that a 200gr cut of it just costed 105K (say what?!). Cooked medium well, I really loved how juicy the beef was. So tender, so succulent indeed. For every portion of steak comes with sweet corn as its compliment, but if you should ever decide to add more side dishes then there are a lot of choices you can add. French fries, garlic fried potato, mashed potato, broccoli, baby stringbean, sauted mix mushroom, even buttered rice and white rice.

Aus Tenderloin (200gr) - IDR 130K

If you don't like any fat in your steak, then opt for the tenderloin part. Cooked medium well also, this fine cut has the same juiciness as the sirloin. I surely loved how they cooked the steak here. Perhaps I should try other side dishes on my next visit.

Mucca has a number choices of sauce for the steak. That day I tried the butter sauce, mushroom, and blackpepper. All tasted really good. I prefer the butter sauce more since it tasted more salty. Haha yeah I like salty flavors.

Peach Sour Squash - IDR 27K

The Peach Sour Squash came as a very refreshing beverage after a heavy meal of steaks. A combination of soda, peach, and lime, so you get that hint of sourness from the lime mixed with the sparkling sensation from the soda. A nice refreshing drink.

Iced Hazelnut Latte - IDR 33K

To my surprise, Mucca is collaborating with Tanamera for their coffee beverages. Tanamera is indeed one of my favorite coffee brand besides Giyanti. This hazelnut latte was so good. The coffee base was strong, and the hazelnut was so exquisite. It's great that the latte was not overly sweet so I indeed could taste the rich coffee combined with the hazelnut altogether.

Overall, Mucca in my opinion could be the perfect place to get a good and affordable steak. Bearing the name "by Gandy", it does live up to its predecessor. Another plus point is the use of Tanamera coffee seeds for their coffee beverages. So if you don't feel like having steak, you can always come here for a great cup of coffee too.
